Cat's going to need one HECK of a game to get to 3 dubs in a row... Although, Arkansas just barely beat Lipscomb by 3 points.

Tarleton blew a 9 point halftime lead and lost to a bad team. One of those nights I guess.

We did not expect that. This season is strange it seems. Teams play hot and cold.
ACU Women had a 10 point lead against WKU in the fourth quarter -- and lost last night. Two foul outs really hurt.

The buzzer wasn't kind to the WAC as SUU saw its two-point lead erased when Montana State hit a three at the buzzer and Cal Baptist's three rimmed in and out in a three-point loss.

Thanks for this info. A suggestion (not a criticism) is that it might be easier to say: "UTRGV
at Chicago State" rather than:

"UTRGV (Away)
Chicago State (Home)"

Just “one of those nights”, huh? How sweet. It was actually a f’n 12 POINT lead with 9 MINUTES remaining. We let an extremely mediocre Jax St beat us up in the paint and outscore us 23-8 down the stretch! After leading the ENTIRE GAME!! Final year of transition and there is absolutely ZERO room or excuses for that kind of sh*t show anymore. Especially at Wisdom. Total joke and disgusting to watch. People are still talking (laughing) about it on Twitter, as they should be. Tomorrow night in Knoxville is gonna be a beatdown for the record books if we don’t toughen up in a hurry!

Lol duly noted. So you’re aware, I just copy and paste from WAC site and jazz it up with some bold to make it more readable. If the format bothers you, take it up with the Commish. He needs something to do anyway.

I’m thinking player minutes weren’t managed very well. Played very little bench in the 2nd half and it appeared several folks were gassed. Seems like a lot of shots came up short which can be an indicator of tired legs. Since Coach Jones has been named acting head coach, which I’m not sure what this means, he needs to learn from the game and move on. I think our bench has been underutilized all year, especially since we have gotten healthy.

That was my take too when watching the second half. I’m not sure if the Texans bench is shallow, if someone is on the S list or something else, but the guys on the court looked gassed.

Grand Canyon beats Sam Houston 76-64. Liberty wins at Utah Valley 79-63. Both better teams hold serve - kind of what was expected.

The Seattle basketball facility is a DUMP. Most middle schools have a better gym. It is a Joke for that to be allowed in Division I.

There is a story in the latest Tarleton news magazine about us being invited into the WAC. Chancellor John Sharp, President Hurley and AD Reisman were asked about thirty minutes into the meeting, the only concern the WAC board had was our basketball facility didn’t meet the requirements of the WAC. Sharp immediately answered we will build one and it will be the best in the WAC.

My first thought on reading this story was if ours didn’t meet their requirements then what is Seattle doing? It holds less than 1,000 and is basically a modified rec center.

Tarleton's old facility wasn't/isn't THAT bad. Yes, you guys need a new one, but also yes that I have been to WAY worse...

Wisdom is a low level facility for sure. That really wasn’t an issue as the WAC needed bodies at the time.

Same with Seattle. They were able to say Key Arena was their home. Then over time the huge facility proved a liability and they only play a couple to a handful of games there a year. Their home court leads to a better environment, but is a sub-par high school facility. It was fine when built over half a century ago, but didn’t age well.

At that time Seattle U was still at Key Arena/ CPA. OVG who runs and paid for the renovations and owns the Kraken, told Seattle U if they wanted to use the arena going forward they would have to pay for it and not use it for free going forward. There is a little bit of chatter that with how expensive building in the city is that SeattleU and Seattle Pacific could partner up and build a small 4k to 5k arena in Seattle most likely on SPU campus. This would be years away if it happens.

ACU led a large part of the game against Arkansas and gave them everything we had. Unfortunately, Arkansas got some really good 2nd half runs. We never gave up though. In the end, we lose 73-83. We beat the spread though!
