Men led a large part of the game but end up losing in the end just like Arkansas, except they really should have beat WKU, no excuses this time.

WKU is a perennial power and was picked within a hair's whisker of first in the preseason poll. ACU proved they can hang with the good teams.

It's nice that we can hang, but we have to finish games and we should be able to do better. We expect better.

WKU has a long history of excellence, but for goodness sakes, ACU should have won. The Wildcats have repeatedly lost when unable to close out games we have led. It feels like we are snake bit. Surely something will balance out over time.

Went to the UTA @ UTA game. The Mavs have been great for stretches, but have a hard time with 40 full minutes. After getting it to within one to start the second half, the Longhorns “punched the Mavs in the mouth” according to Coach Turner. The Mavs could respond and the score kept pace the remainder.

Hard to tell where this team is heading into conference play.

Conference play is going to get interesting for sure...

We need a win later this afternoon. That is about the only way I can get a kick out of seeing dear old ACC. BTW, our old name is now used for the Abilene Country Club and when on my calendar if I see ACC it is sometimes confusing--is it a meeting at ACU or ACC?

Tanner said that last time we had a week off it didn't go well and that this time he was going to do things a little different. We'll see what difference it makes.
